I think all these types of questions should be completely private, they crowd the front page, I mean its kinda fun, but not all grupies want to see them always

I think that's why we agreed to not exceed two (unresolved) topics at the same time. So one or two topics stay active on the front page when the grup is guessing with answers (or making comments), but there's only a maximum of two topics appearing at once out of the total of 25 topics displayed. And usually less than that...

Although, it does cause other topics to scroll off the 1st page faster... I'll probably alternate between private and public depending on the complexity of the topic.
