Answer for: Should Title IX be applied to Science?
#1 No, intellect is more important than boobs
It doesn't matter what sex, either women or men, dominates science. What's important is that the most intellectual people dominate in science.

Said the man.
Ferre: I think I agree with the spirit of your argument. Your choice of words might divert attention from your intended meaning, though.
That's possible, English is not my native language. What I mean is that I wouldn't care less when science was dominated by women, as long as intellect is considered more important than the sex in a field as important for humanity as science is.
For me al people should be treated equal, women, men, and every single race, a concept that seems to be lost for those who advocate gender (or race) parity. As soon as the sex is considered to be an important factor for any job, discrimination kicks in, whether it is positive or negative discrimination, it's still discrimination to me.
To humanity as a whole I don't think it matters whether it was a woman or a man who invented the microchip, what's important is that it got invented.
