I regret that i cannot vote for both "Well said" and "Helpful" as this answer is both. Thank you, Odocoileus.

Your enthusiastic support of my answer is very welcomed. It is complicated subject of modding down. It could be just a simple way to express disapproval or it could be an attempt to suggest to a grup member to find another past time. I know of a few members who have left this website due to too much opposition. Whether that came from the statistics of poor modding or the direct conflicts of articulated opinions is a matter of conjecture. The nature of grupthink is to draw us into agreement and conflict. Too much of either will result in boredom or alienation. A balance is best yet who would post opposition of too many members who concur with one own’s opinion?
It is best that we welcome all, especially those who are extreme otherwise this site will suffer from ennui. To achieve this balance it would benefit grupthink to foster a culture of tolerance regardless of the poster’s ability to articulate or the poster’s unconventional opinion. It is rare when one can find an forum that allows such a variety and the resulting conflict.
It is my hope that this concept will endure those who desire to homogenize expression and ultimately thought. Unless the day comes that we all think alike, such endeavors as grupthink is the only outlet for those of us who have an opinion and the drive to see how it can withstand the scrutiny of a diverse world.
