That is the sum total of your answer.."Mostly, the CIA"?
Why don't you qualify that answer with a list of all the dictators in history and how the CIA fueled and enabled dictators.
I think you'll find that most dictators, even the ones before the CIA was ever developed, are the result of highly ambitious, charismatic and evil men possessing above average oratory skills, or at least enough to convince masses of uneducated and class envious people that all their problems are the result of the achievements and accomplishments of others.
"Put me in power and I'll get even for you. I'll make everything fair!" Sounds sort of similar to the "Animal Farm" politics of lefttists everywhere.
Right Wing dictators have at least been less hypocritical regarding the seizure of power by not pretending it was for the common good. Both look down on the oppressed but Right Wingers at least admit they aren't doing it for everybody's benefit out of fairness.
