Seriously, and there's no way to change it in the settings. that particular tone of blue is way too dominant for my likings, it conflicts with many sites colors and distracts the view.

Are you running Windows XP? On my machine (Vista, with Aero theme) the browser is translucent and more gray than blue.

Yes, I run XP, I think I'll give it another try as soon as there's a possibility to change the theme of Chrome.

I Use XP with the Classic (grey) windows theme btw. The default XP theme is way too dominating ugly for me as well, I like the interface of software I use to be minimalistic and as much as possible in the background. I'm also a frequent user of the F11 button which in Chrome also doesn't work.

Have you tried Ubuntu? Sounds like its UI may be right up your alley:

You can install and try it out easily from within Windows, too!

Of course. I can dual boot any time I want but lots of software I use all the time doesn't work well in linux, besides, Chrome doesn't do that for now either.
