The Wilma is by far the best venue for seeing live music if you want to stand next to fixed chairs, smoke pot, and drink alcohol. However, the fact that the management is creepy brings my vote to a lower rating. Yes, the manager of the Wilma building is on the registered sex offender's list, at least he was was in the early 1990s. The Wilma staff lacks in the general hospitality range and the toilets are a less than wonderful, no handicapped access.
The Wilma is under new management and due to renovations and a few tweaks, the bathrooms are far more welcoming and ADA accessible, you can sit or stand in a chair or dance in the open area by the stage, the staff has plenty of character and there is no creepy manager...maybe the former owner?? At any rate, with some facelifts and improvements the Wilma definitely remains the best place in Missoula for live music.
