They took the most literal interpretation of the name, but then didn't make the tires big. It's kind of anticlimactic.

Ok, I get it now. "Big" refers to the 4, not the tires.

It is supposed to mean big tires, for semis and big trucks.

Designer: "Ok then.... What do we want to *communicate* with your new logo?"

Client: "Our name is Big 4 Tire, what else do you need to know? We sell giant tires. It's gotta have a #4 and four tires, and say 'Big 4 Tire'. Do it."

Designer: "Ok. A big "4" and four big tires. Got it."

Client: "No. A big 4 and four really small tires. Oh, and there needs to be a shaft connecting them."
