Weather you are for or against the legalization of marijuana there's no data to judge weather or not it would be benificial or detrimental to society in this country (U.S.). I say just freakin' try it in one city first. Then everyone can make judgments from that outcome.

It wonder if this could create a negative interaction between states/cities where the drug is still operating in the criminal market and the "safe haven" city. If so, it might be a doomed test from the beginning.

Good point. I also wonder if legalizing marijuana nation wide would impede the drug cartel.
