Discuss: Aligning oneself with a party
reduces mental flexibility.

I don't see the need to announce one's political views in an all encompassing tag. Go ahead, call me a comment-phobe; I'm willing to discuss the issue with you.

Although this answer isn't entirely relevant, I strongly agree with it and think it deserves the visibility of an "answer".

This topic isn't about political parties, this is about how you identify yourself politically, which can include parties, but by no means is limited to it. If you don't align yourself with a particular political party then don't vote for a political party, add a philosophy instead and vote for that.

Further, if you don't want to do that either because you don't want to label yourself is the same as saying you don't want to answer the topic, therefore don't answer the topic (meaning go on to the next topic).

This answer is not relevant for this topic, and was correctly marked as such.

That clears a good bit up. There's a distinct difference between aligning and identifying oneself with a political party. It is important for people to note the difference of course, because there is a great deal of those who do not.
