For sit-down listening, it's the newest, cleanest, largest, nicest-sounding concert space. Not so good when you wanna get outta yer chair & boogie, though.

The soud here is great; Unfortunately, the nosebleed seats are among the worst I've sat in, and there are very few live musical circumstances where I _wouldn't_ want to do a little boogying.
The venue was perfect, however, for Leo Kottke. Goddamn that was good.
The University Theater is professionaly run by Tom Webster, a man who really knows the business of running a venue. He has a top notch staff to boot!
Unfortunately, the theater is not centrally heated. It is an oven even in the wintertime and there is nothing that can be done short of spending too much money for not enough gain.
The venue will not prohibit alcohol and is very uncomfortable in the balcony. No room to dance with the fixed seating.
I figure you probably meant that they will not permit alcohol, right?
Yeah, I think we're all in agreement that you don't want to get stuck in the balcony. Not fun.
Yes, Will. You are correct. I did mean to say that alcohol is not permitted and for good reason. Thanks for the correction.
