Not everyone finds slapstick or "stupid" (your word, not mine) humor funny. It has nothing to do with loosening up. It has nothing to do with being a "stiff ass" person. It has to do with what tickles your funny bone. Adam Sandler is your cup of tea... that's great. But not everyone has to like him. Chill.

Dude can be funny, but why does he have to act like a badass and always have a scene that shows how tough he is? He looks like a skinny little twerp to me.
Saturday Night Live doesn't cast people who aren't funny, and Adam Sandler is one of the greats of that show, meaning the guys hilarious. and the fact that he looks like a "skinny twerp" to you, only makes his bad ass scenes funnier, he's not doing an action flick its comedy....and great comedy. Happy Gilmore might be one of the best movies ever.
First of all this is supposed to be a list of bad movies not bad actors. Secondly are you really going to condemn nearly 30 movies (and growing) because you don't think Sandler is funny? What about his dramatic roles (Reign Over Me, Spanglish, Punch-Drunk Love)?
It's true he's not the greatest actor or the funniest comedian. He's at his worst playing dumb assholes (Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison) but team him with great actors such as Jack Nicholson or John Turturro and you've got something. And the pairing of Sandler/Barrymore rivals that of Hanks/Ryan in my book.
