Is it possible that we may not have to spend all $3000 and could do something that is not as elaborate, such as some tile work inside the DEATHBOX of the kidney bowl.

Sounds golden. Especially if the flow could be used elsewhere. Since the box is relatively small, you could have just a few really pimp artistically-crafted tiles in there.
