This is hands down the finest application to develop websites with. Sure you could go around and pay some ridiculous amount of money for an enterprise CMS but for the most part this will get the job done far beyond your wildest dreams. The community backing this project is one of the closest knit, most amazing people I have ever witnessed in the open source world. Once you see the extensions that are offered for Joomla you will realize that you can create a site that looks like it must have cost thousands and thousands of bucks and all you have paid is maybe $150-- at the most! Beats Xoops, Drupal, and all others. Get this NOW.

I have to second the sentiments left by the previous commentor. for every client i develop for the reasons become fewer and fewer not to use this for a new site. amazing!
