It's self expression...Get a life!
And an extension of one's lifestyle, which most the time isn't lived by choice, rather by birth. It goes like this my pale-faced brother....
1. you're born into a ghetto
2. you learn to fit in with the ghetto, or...
suffer the consequences. (Beat up, shot, etc.)
3. Even if or when you move out the ghetto, your way of dressing carries with you. Kind of like your face! Get it?
