Answer for: Who Is Your Favorite Missoula Character?
#1 The spacey dancing guy at Caras Park
You know, the guy [who used to have a] shaggy, puddin' bowl haircut and who writhes around and waves his arms at many of the outdoor concerts.

That dance he does - it's like he's stocking groceries. It's the "Instant Mash," a dance described in Joe Jackson's song of the same name....

MUST.
Great find!
Yep, that's the guy I was thinking of, but I guess his hair is actually kind of short and gray now. So I updated the answer.
I KNEW I had a better action shot of him! Maybe you should use this one instead! (from 05' hempfest)

Sometimes his dance incorporates in a little "reeling in the fish" as well. He pretty much rocks.
Dammit! Missed my opportunity to edit.. check out this one too:

That is the fucking most entrancing, hilarious myspace experience ever. Watching youtube of that guy in February, and listening to the horrible bands providing the soundtrack is just...well, I think I was HYPMOTIZED for a while there. Hey, wha'ppened to mah pants...?!
This is such a sweet find!
This guy accosted me in the check-out line at Safeway the other day because of my Jon Tester sticker on my car. Going on and on about how Tester's big gut was full of the souls of unborn babies, etc...
he didn't really say that did he? Now thats a powerful image....
Which Video Of The Dancing Guy Is Your Favorite?

I hear his dance is some kind of ritual of salvation which keeps the demons from descending upon us, we should all be grateful for his selfless gyrations.
Get this - I was driving around the other day (working, not just gassing around!) and saw some random kid in front of his house doing the dancing guy dance. It was spooky. The kid was around 9 years old, and he had the dance down cold. Perhaps Dancing Guy has influenced or created a whole new movement, if you will...
