If the rest of the world hates America so much, why do we have such a high immigration rate?
Every country has it's problems, but I think this country is one of the best.

That was an isolated incident and isn't significant enough (as terrible as it is) to warrent judgement for an entire country.
I disagree Great. For the abuses of getmo to happen at all we would have to have a government made of those who endorsed torture and unlawful imprisonment. Those who are opposed to torture have not made it into office, so obviously the people are not overly concerned.
I am not america bashing. I am bashing the current state of our nation. I still believe in the dream and hope of the united states, but we have got to have major reforms. If we get four more years of Bush style nepotism, corruption, and miniature-dictatorial policy then we will have either an economic collapse or a civil war.
