I haven't been able to read a Steven King novel since this one. It freaked me out. In fact I haven't read any horror stories since this one.

I read this book when I had just moved into my first apartment, alone without roommates. I had a cat that kept making noises, and I was totally freaked out. I'm sure there have been some other books that have freaked me out, but I can't remember them. This one I remember.
