Exactly. He would be a horrible choice for Gaul. He would play Valan Luca really well though.

no no i think he would play a prrety good aiel i jus dont think that he has the physical apperance as an aiel, cuz aiel are supposed to be some crazy skilled warriors and have a very athletic body but Paul doesnt strike me as athletic

I can't think of a role from the series for Paul Bettany, but definitely one of the various Tinkers we meet throughout the books.
I do believe a better choice for Gaul would be Lou Diamond Philips, easily!
