Answer for: What's your favorite role-playing game?
#3 GURPS
Playable in any genre, from caveman club-fights to medieval swords and sorcery to Old West shootouts to X-Files investigations to Star Wars starship chases.
Also known for gritty realism and a compressed survivability range -- a common bandit can kill an experienced warrior with a single crossbow bolt or a lucky dagger swipe.

While I was a long time D&D fan, and I still enjoy the rich environment and media they produce, GURPS still takes the cake. I also am amazed at the number of source books and supplements that are available for GURPS. They are just not typically as flashy or heavily marketed as the former TSR, now WoTC media.
