Certainly a sister city of Missoula. Think Missoula with a twist of harbor town add great art and artists and you've got Bellingham.

That's funny, <slapping my knee>, the artist I was talking about in Bellingham is actually from Missoula, but their is a tight nit younger community doing some beautiful art. Missoula's seemed more like old people with their crafts lately. I'm kind of tired of the artist snobbery here; the great work escapes Missoula's eyes. But you can always buy a nice piece to hang above your mantel that says “Howdy I'm from Montana”. Nothing wrong with that either.

However I was born and raised here, I find the real art is else where lately. But I think it’s great what the older folks around here call art too. It sure looks pretty; it should be on a post card.

If you know of some artists that I should take a look at here in Missoula that seems to be on the hip on the real art scene please send the names my way, I'd love to look at some refreshing art. Plus what does my opinion matter, art is in the eye of the beholder.
