On my way to a fraternity dance and my date's car blew a rod on a very remote stretch of the highway (these were in the days before cell phones) We hiked through the wheat fields to the nearest farm which turned out to be some sort of asylum for crazies who chased us. Then we ran to the next farmhouse and sat with an old lady who drank Black Label Beer (without offering any) until four hours later, we were rescued.
