yeah,
I mean I'm not trying to hate on this beautiful purple basil, but how will it taste in pesto? or cooking in general, I have had mixed results with purple basil.

well,
as all I am concerned with is quality pesto, this variety tends to be a bit bitter, but it is fine in small amounts

it's more used to brighten up the kitchen garden with color rather then be used in the cooking... it is mostly used to garnishing plates when serving food.
