Answer for: Things I Will Never Spend My Money On
#10 illegal drugs
firstly, I don't have cash enough... secondly I never have to be worried to get caught, thirdly - there are enough other things to get me high (i actually don't need drugs to be off my head) and fourth in row... I think the main kick people get from it is that they are doing something illegal... so why bother
(yes I did try some of the mainstream stuff and know that its not worth my money)... plus there are always people that get hooked onto stuff quicker than others... since I don't know which one I am, why risk it?

At the risk of trying to put words in you mouth; I think that what you mean is that you have no desire to pay money for *recreational, non-therapeutic* drug use.
Drug legality is incredibly arbitrary. For example:
Cannabis and mushrooms are sched I
cocaine, raw opium, and ritalin are all sched II
xanax and valium are both sched IV
alcohol, tobacco, and dextromethorphan ('tussin trips) are unscheduled.
Judging from the relative amounts of stupidity engaged in while under the influence as well as the directly damaging side effects associated with all of these drugs, the scheduling seems to almost go in the opposite direction of how it should. (sched I is entirely illegal, sched V is mild restriction, requiring a prescription that you could most likely get off the internet.)
*ALL* drugs have the potential for good as well as harm; just like explosives, firearms, or nuclear capabilities they must (but can) be used responsibly towards a good end, even though they have the capability for great harm.
That being said, I admire and respect your will and abstinence. Drug use (of the recreational variety) is a very personal decision, and if you truly feel as though the risks outweigh the rewards then you should not compromise your integrity.

Thanks... in simple.. I don't believe drugs benefit my life. A lot of money for a quick fix or something that will still be there when the fix is gone. I rather deal with my life and since I can appreciate even the smallest things in life I have no need for drugs that play with my mind frame. I did enjoy my cigarettes and I enjoy the odd bit of alcohol... maybe I have enough endorphines already in my body... being high can be achieved without substitues too, but I feel that people stopped trying since it much easier to roll up... oh and its 'cool' too.. show me a youngster that thinks that someone is thougt to be cool that doesn't use... you might find a handful or two...
TDH - this is a local copy as far as I am aware...
What?
There's a hotlinking prevention script in effect. You have the original page URL you got the image from?
Um. No. It was just a link to a psychedelic fractal image 'cause I thought it was funny. Try this one. http://www.nightswim...hell_glow.jpg Now pretend you just read this: http://www.grupthink.com/answer/97236#comment52990
