#3 Well it's home of course  

Many cool things happen in this little city (I use the term city loosely here)

a Salish Indian word meaning "near the cold, chilling waters."
I grew up thinking it was Salish for "the gates of Hell", and this is not meant to be derrogatory as there is indeed a canyon leading into town called Hellgate.
