Religion is a human invention, so yes - I am most certainly interested in how humans have negatively affected our world - THROUGH the tool that is religion.
If that's your view, don't blame the tool then. Blame individuals.
The first step is of stopping someone with a knife is to get the knife out of their hands. The first step in stopping the evils of religion is to discredit religion in the minds of people everywhere.
