I got the impression that "I don't" and negative answers were considered a newbie-mistake (http://www.grupthink.com/topic/3334), but then again, I'm more of a newbie than Pol here, so it's hard to tell.

All World Religion are close to each other and completely different at the same time, IMHO.
But evem without a conception of "GOD" per se, the "greatest" and most humanistic religion is Mahayana Buddhism. So in this religion, we simple can't find the the fact of the "war for the sake of God."
