When totalizing theories like Wilber's spiral off into think-tanks, institutes and "universities," one begins to worry. Plus Wilber's "integral workshops" start at about a few hundred dollars a day. I'm skeptical of any philosophical approach that requires a $900 five-day hotel reservation, even if meals are included.

So when I found _Integral Psychology_ and The Eye of Spirit and I kept reading, I began to understand the path that Wilber outlines as a guide to my own further development and an educated approach to my lingering misgivings about the division between sense and soul. Hope, Illusion. We talked about that and LOTS of other things (He and I both love psychedelic Miles Davis). He's an incredibly generous man (he donates money everywhere, including grants and scholarships) and one of the most open people I've ever met. [show less]
