i found with lots of guys that they stick to their partner no matter what until they found a substitute. so the gray zone leads to a lot of cheating. i havent cheated, but damn it have i not been on the receiving end too many times! At least I will not drag out relationships anymore that are none. lesson learned.

Not that women don't do it too sometimes. But WTF is it with most men? You are so right, they have to make sure they one lined up before they dump the first one..... if they dump her at all. Some like to have their cake and eat it too. If gal #2, knows she #2 and is willing to stay that way for a while and gal#1 is clueless about the situation, guys will let it continue until one of the ladies make him choose.
Emotions fade, but horniness is forever. That's why a lot of guys will let a doomed relationship drag on indefinitely. He'll finally leave when getting laid isn't worth the hassle anymore.
Unless he's pathetically needy in some way. Then you'll get the power trip Kibber described, or a human leech who's damn near impossible to get rid of.
Another combination is the guy who genuinely sort of cares about you, but not enough that he's willing to leave his comfort zone. You have some sympathy for him, because despite his faults at least he has feelings... but your sympathy is what allows him to justify his behavior, and never change.

yea, its nice to have one to fall back on, so when you find out ur lady is cheatin on you, it doesn't hurt as much cause you already got one to go to. everyone cheats, girls just as much as guys. so why bother even gettin serious, just have fun
