Angelina certainly looks the part, but i don't think she is the ideal choice. Angelina is more alluring and seductive whereas Robert Jordan described Lanfear to be unholy beautiful.
I would cast her as Riselle (spelling?) if she was a bit more busty, but that is the kind of role i would place her in.
actually i think shes perfect. She fits Lanfear just fine to me.
She looks like the epitome of lanfear, in that picture especially, also there's no doubting her ability to act the part whether she looks just right or not
I don't know. In my mind I have Lanfear as a soft creamy skinned siren. Miss. Jolie strikes me more as a fierce beauty. Not to mention her skin isn't creamy. Soft, sure. But not creamy
I dont really think she can handle this role. she looks ok for lanfear but..?
i dont think her acting skills are up to par for such a terrible and powerful person, she might fit one of the other forsaken, but lanfear? im not so sure.
4 me she fits perfect in the role as Lanfear.
No Lanfear is beautiful and is not seductive. She actually loves Rand but just has extreme lust for power. Jolie could not show real love like the REAL lanfear. Check out my Lanfear! Much better. Jolie also looks to old!!

Lanfear is really fluid, beautiful, and, to tell the truth, just downright nasty (in an evil sense)...I'm sure she could pull of the first two, but not the last. She also played an almost identical role in Beowulf. Although she could probably pull off the part, the fact remains that Jolie was computer enhanced to give her a bit more....well, body. I'm pretty sure Jordan didn't want Lanfear to be bone thin...Maybe after she has the twins?
Personally. I can't stand Angelina Jolie, so it is with the greatest regret that I agree to the casting of her as Lanfear.

She can fit the role; however, Angelina is too commercialized. Lanfear should be played by someone who's not that popular but fit the description of Lanfear - tall, slender, pale smooth skin, jet black hair and eyes dark as night - like EVA GREEN. She's the Bond Girl from Casino Royale.
but Eva's eyes blue as sea.. and her blue eyes are her seal. Though she is beautiful, so why not, it would be a good choice maybe, but I'm not that sure.. I'm thinking the right lanfear and I just cant find it!!! but well, we shouldnt forget, its not only about the actress or the actor, a true director can pick an actress and we all can say "wtf?? why her?" but you know... she'll be the greatest and we all say "oh I see!" :D the director choice should be right because he/she can only know with which actor that he/she can work with...
Right, but it’s definitely not Angelina. I mean she's great, but Lanfear should be played by someone who has not yet discovered, or someone that is about to be discovered. Even the role of Rand Al'Thor, I think they should make a casting call for this role... worldwide.

meh. she'd be ok as a 2nd choice, but she's neither pale enough nor subtle enough to be the greatest choice. lanfear is described as breathtakingly, almost unnaturally beautiful, not seductive and sexy. which of these descriptions do you think of when you see angelina jolie?
