Why DON'T you believe in a religious deity?

The question was previously posed as to why you believe in a higher power, and received no responses. So, let us look at the flip side of that coin and ask why you DON'T believe in a deity as defined by any religion?

(I've worded it this way so that 'higher powers' such as science and astrophysics are exempt.)
