God has no explanatory power. Or Science has rendered god unnecessary.

Friar_Zero, Check out the Science of God: The Convergence of Scientific and Biblical Wisdom by Gerald L. Schroeder.
It's more about how science and god intertwine, rather than simply a dichotomy.
I will check that out when I have a chance, I would also recommend God: The Failed Hypothesis by Dr. Vic Stenger.
