The parents are at fault for relying only on their faith. I don't know who these people are... so if they are not psychotic... it is also our societies fault for allowing, and often encouraging them to think this way.

Proactivity is the key word.... I have a 10 year old diabetic. Dad put him in the hospial two years ago because his blood sugars were to high. After talking to child protective services they told me it was not abuse or life threathing!!! After going to court the Judge told me to keep dealing with it because I already was. And now I am three years later. Do I have to wait until my son dies for our system to do anything???? Knowledge is the answer for diabetes and if you lack in it you will have problems. But if you educate yourself and your loved one with diabetes you will grow. My son has to endure sleeping on the floor at dads and doing everything on his own to control his diabetes. Dad only gains not having to pay any support which I could careless if he did or didn't but this is the only reason he wants him his 47% of the time. So now I try and try to fight again and again. Our system is messed up and for people who nothing about Diabetes and Ketoacidosis it does not give second chances. [show less]

There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!"
