I almost got through the first video. I really tried, but my tolerance for woo only goes so far. End of the world in 2012? Man was perfect in a bygone era (save for the disease, the low lifespan, the ignorance, and the low return on labor)? The Illuminati controls the world?
I realize that you haven't met a conspiracy you didn't like, but it's getting old. I like to think it's simple apophenia, but you might want to consider that you could be paranoid. Seek help, or at least more interesting topics. ;)
I watched the first video. None of it was new or disturbing. It was the same old, same old, rehashed. The narrator tried to make it sound as though it was fresh, new and golden - it wasn't. May be it was to him but the same sort of material can be found in very many books available in chain bookstores worldwide. This information has been commonly available for centuries. When I was younger, much younger, it all seemed wildly interesting. I still possess books about John Dee, Hermes Trismegistus, Magick, the Illuminati, the Masons, the Knights Templar, paganism, the moon Goddess, the Earth Goddess, books that link ancient Egyptian sun religion with Christ (Osiris by another name), Kabbala, Angelology, the Enochian language, you name it, I read it. This video is of the same order of stuff. It is too complicated, too mystical and too far removed from real life to bother with. If there are powers, earthly or heavenly who are out to dupe us all and they aim to fuck us up by 21 December 2012 - good luck to them. Many other dates have been foretold as some sort of doom laden date and they have passed without incident. And my guess is 21 December 2012 will pass in the same wimpy way.
This film? A load of tired old bollocks.

@Akkad: If I AM paranoid I've got to be one of the most laid back paranoid people around. I KNOW that a small group of people control the world. If I decided to stop buying diamonds because they were Blood Diamonds it would have no effect on the industry. If the owner of the largest diamond supplier in the world decided to stop supplying them. Millions of people would be affected.
@Thoralby: I feel you. But perhaps it is the same old same old because the truth does not change? I don't believe 2012 will mean the fall of society as we know it. Especially because I will help in any way I can for that to not take place, before or after 2012.
Consider that there are people out there that have never questioned their root assumptions.

I appreciate all of your input. Its nice to be reminded that I might entertain some outlandish ideas.
Goliath - I like you - I really do. But I am not convinced by the conspiracy theory approach. That there are powerful people in the world who come together in their own interests, I have no doubt. But I don't think it is one meta organisation above and beyond what we can all see. Large, highly visible organisations are enough to control the world. For example, massive international corporations, United Nations, European Union, United States, Catholic Church, Russia, China, Communications leaders (press barons, TV moguls), etc. There is overlap between some of these organisations - some of the same individuals feature in more than one of them. But there is also competition between these organisations. I have seen no convincing evidence of a James Bond like SPECTRE organisation bent on world conquest to which a small group of wicked individuals belong.
You do believe this I know. I would be interested in your evidence. Explain it very simply please with reliable references for any assertions that are not clearly facts.

Some of the organizations you mentioned are highly influential. Do you think that Communications leaders, or the Catholic church would let you sit or observe one of their meetings?
They might... though they would talk about the weather or something then...
Goliath - no, I don't think they would let me sit and listen in. However, I don't think the fact that they have private meetings is evidence that they are into world domination.
Corporations have private meetings and keep secrets for primarily business reasons. They don't want the competition to discover what their marketing strategies are for example. All international corporations would like to dominate in world business in their particular products and services I am sure, but that is not the same as dominating the World and everything in it.
Governments have private meetings and keep secrets for nationalstic reasons - economic and defence mainly. But they are for nationalistic reasons, not internationalistic ones - world dominance and control of everything is not usually an agenda item. If it is, the other nations soon learn about it and have war to stop it if necessary.
United Nations - as divided as you can get. I do not see that organisation as a focus point for world dominance.
Religion - broken up into many faiths and sects within those faiths. The Catholic Church is a powerful organisation but not as powerful as it was. it is loved and reviled in equal measure. Definitely not a focus for world domination. Islam is making itself felt at the moment and one of the stated aims in the Koran is a world theocracy. However, it is not succeeding. It is loved by its followers but reviled and opposed by everyone else.
I could go on. But I won't (much to everyone's relief I am sure).
Goliath - where is the evidence that some powerful people are working to dominate the world. The main suspects have too much opposition. I conclude that you think that the guilty party is a secretive organisation with a secret list of members acting in secret to undermine everything. For you to know this, it must mean there is evidence of their perfidy in the world today. What is that evidence?

Bilderberg - yes, it is the nearest thing to what you describe. However, its membership has been so varied and vast over time that I cannot see how such varied interests could ever agree on a policy or series of policies for world domination. Each member has his/her own interest and then loyalties to family, nation, class, religion, etc.
Officially Bilderberg supposedly started as a tool to thwart soviet power and Anti-Americanism in Europe. If that is the case, you could believably assert that this group is anti-communist, pro-capital and pro-US. You might even argue it seeks to promote America as the dominant nation in the world guaranteed to support capitalism forever.
But your film you wanted us to watch and the links to previous supposedly secret organisations seems to indicate to me that you may think Bilderberg is the most recent incarnation of a secret society that goes back in time, adopting different disguises to suit the circumstances of different times. I guess you believe the Illuminati was a previous incarnation of the society.
What evidence hae you got that there is a single society chgning its form as necessary?

The best evidence are in the results of an action/event. A good question to ask is "Cui Bono".

-Most Americans were unaware that smoking hemp was intoxicating until William Randolph Hearst launched a campaign of sensational stories that linked "the killer weed" to jazz musicians, "crazed minorities," and unspeakable crimes. Hearst Papers featured headlines:
"MARIJUANA MAKES FIENDS OF BOYS IN 30 DAYS - HASHEESH GOADS USERS TO BLOOD-LUST - NEW DOPE LURE, MARIJUANA, HAS MANY VICTIMS.
- Was a viable hemp industry forced out of existence because it was a threat to people's health or because it was a threat to a few large businesses that would profit from banning it?
Popular Mechanics predicted that hemp would become America's first "billion-dollar crop". The magazine pointed out that "10,000 acres devoted to hemp will produce as much paper as 40,000 acres of average pulp land.
Hearst slanted the news in his papers to protect his pulp investments. Hearst's newspaper chain led the deliberate... yellow journalism campaign to have marijuana outlawed. Also... Du Pont Co. according to the companies own records, wood-pulp accounted for 80% of their railroad car loadings. They had even more at stake... but... this is pretty much how it goes down. The small groups of people who control the masses.
