Children seem to develop a sense of right and wrong within a few years of birth. All societies have some sort of moral code. Where do such ideas come from? The easy answer would be from some sort of Supreme Being. Options?

Please do not be mad! I still beleive in God; just in a different way then most people! If you are curious write me a private message but please don't go bashing me for my beliefs. I am not really trying to bash your beliefs rather just showing a second opption! Religion is Poison is not my quote. This is Moa; communist china!
I'm not mad. I'm trying to get people to think, and I'm also trying to learn about other points of view. It's difficult sometimes when someone challenges my beliefs but faith without challenges is not real faith IMHO.
See topic:

for definition of "right and wrong".
It might have been better if you'd broken those up into two questions. "Right" and "Wrong" have lots of meanings. In this topic, I would define them in the ethical sense - whether or not your action(s) are in agreement with your current society's code of conduct.
Note that the topic description says "All societies have some sort of moral code." Therefore, I define right and wrong, for the sake of this topic, in that sense.
Note that this is not Good and Evil, which most people would define as universal terms, applicable across societies.
Possibly, in terms of garnering grupie points - but then, where's the debate? Where's the pure joy of discussion? See you there!
