I am having a really hard time deciding which sleeping bag to buy. Like anyone else in the universe who's ever shopped for anything (especially sight-unseen, polyfill-unfelt), I am going on a few qualities: brand name, apparent value, customer review... But there are a few issues left irksome.
E.g., I am a medium sized girl (about 5'7"), but regular women's-sized bags are too short for me (5'5"). Women's Longs don't usually proportionalize for width, and so I end up using a "Men's" bag.
But, is there really a "men's" bag? Or are they just unisex bags, and some women prefer bags with a more, like, tailored, shapely fit?
Since when do things that are called "bags" have a shapely design?
Why do women want this fit? So that they can look more attractive to the opposite sex while they're sleeping in it? Is there some function? Or is it just a sizing issue?
OR, is it just a STYling issue: like, they can offer different colorways to women than men (lavender, pink, other annoying colors).

Women's sleeping bags should be called sleeping purses

if they're so damn keen on being-- like-- flirty, or whatever.

Don't waste your money on that -40F bullshit - That is unless, of course, you plan on camping in the Artic.

In the middle of winter.

True that - But for the vast majority of folks doing your standard summertime camping trips, bags rated that low only help increase your load weight and decrease your bankroll size.
