And they would rather stroke each others egos than really openly honestly discuss topics. Not all of course. . . Modding down is used to punish those who do not hold to like views. Enough wasting of my time. . .See Ya!

I haven't been here that long... but I'll keep your experience in mind.
manilaman: is this for effect, or are you serious?
I know my cred is going to get blasted for this, but in some ways I agree with him. I get tired of the constant uber liberal/quasi intellectual/idealist/atheist type that seem to frequent this site.
However, a large portion of the topics MM created were pointless. Even worse, quite a few were downright offensive.
"I know my cred is going to get blasted for this"
Blv its wont!!!

There are other sites that cater to your viewpoint
http://www.conservativesforum.com/
"quite a few were downright offensive" Is this better? http://grupthink.com/topic/2849
(-: Told ya!!!
N plz don't judge someone else topics. so now no judges you. IF you you find them offensive, boring or silly I DONT!!!
@1218
If you disagree with a topic then take it on. Post polls about your opinion. Make your voice heard. If you don't like the company then you can engage them in conversation or go somewhere else. Don't expect to find a crowd sympathetic to your views anywhere you go, but don't act like Manila and just throw up your arms in a huff when things don't turn your way.

It's a well known fact that reality has a liberal bias.
That being said, if you don't like the "slant" of the majority, by all means - Invite your friends!

How dare they express an opinion different from mine!
Yeah that's completely wrong!!!
I do Friar, but half the time if my argument strays right at all, I'm met with enough resistant to be labeled "irrelevant". I appricate the people, such as yourself, who provide a response with your opinion, rather than just downgrading what I've said with a generic label.
A perfect example is jigglypuff's response which was basically to piss off because I don't have the same beliefs. I love that because I'm a moderate, I'm automatically deemed a conservative.
Yap that's true Love solves everything!!
@ Akkad: I have no problem with someone expressing a differing opinion from my own. In some cases, I've even changed the way I've thought about a topic because of what someone has posted. As I've said before, we can become so absorbed in our own views that we can't see the other side. I think this site is a great tool to allow people to develop more. My problem with the stereotypical Grupie is that the same idea will be posted on the same thread with different phrasing. A lot of Grupies have this enlightenment about them that they must pass down their infinite wisdom in a usual condesending fashion. The generalization I made before is usually the culprit.
-stereotypical Grupie
-differing opinion
-generalization
-fashion
NoOoOoOoOoO!!!!!
-LOVE is the solution
Nice word use though. lol
Its really hard to say it but see ya MM. )-:
