Will it be AJAX, because nearly every browser on every device supports JS...
Will it be Flex, because its based on Flash, which is extreme wide-spread...
Or JAVA-Fx?

I think it's already gained plenty of industry adoption and there is a fair learning curve for technologies like Flex.
