When someone's life can be deemed so worthless as that it is no longer worth living, I don't think we should even have to worry about even having to feed them any longer. Letting them rot in jail just makes more hate. Just kill them and let it be done.

It's not a deterrent and I suspect it brings

closure to very few of the victim's families. On the other hand life in prison in isolation is probably less humane. Some people cannot be rehabilitated. I am unsure how we can deal with that and maintain our humanity.

No it is not good for anybody

It is ten times more expensive to have a death row inmate than a life inmate and in the states that have the death penalty the crime rates are higher along with the murder rates. By the way the states that have the most executions also have the most murders, so it is definitly not a deterrent.

Fry Them!

We need to put criminals to death when they have received the death penalty. These guys commit horrific crimes and sit on death row for 20yrs or more..whats up with that. Do away with them as soon as possible. Their victims did not get 20yrs to sit around. We have no justice in this world. All we can hope for is another inmate gets rid of them for us. Mans inhumanity to man is unreal.

Lethal injection is what you do to a beloved pet, not a sadistic criminal. Killer rapists should be forced to wear a gorilla suit that had been used to towel off a female gorilla. Next, put him in a cage with a 400 lb. male bull gorilla. Enjoy the show.

I feel like someone rotting in a cell the rest of their life is much more torture than just being killed. It's psychological torture...knowing the world still exists and goes on every day but not being able to participate in it. That would be hell...although my views might change if someone I loved was killed.

Interesting argument, let me see if I have this straight:

So, life in prison is worse than the death penalty and that is why you are against the death penalty. But, if a loved one was murdered you may support the death penalty, the less harsh punishment. Very interesting.

And based on the comment rating you have it appears other people seem to agree with this, death is simply not sadistic enough. I really had no idea.
