Bike Commuting Year-Round
(public topic in Missoula)

For those that choose to commute, via bicylce, year-round, it can be a bit tough during the winter months when the weather dips down. But there are still some of us that choose to commute in the cold.

Therefore, should the workplace allow bicycles to be brought indoors, especially during the cold weather? What alternatives are there?

And , is it a valid argument for an office to claim bicycles should abide by the same 'parking' regulations as a car/motorcycle (i.e. bike kept outside)?

Ask for covered bike storage

I'd try to see if your employer can purchase for a shelter (or better yet, lockers). Would be a nice benefit to employees and make the company look good.

Cold weather + indoor bikes = muddy tire tracks

Our commercial landlord, understandably, requested that we keep our bikes outside, since they had a tendency to mark the carpets with wet dirt.
