Near the intestine, like a needless appendix

I had mine removed (that is to say appendix), and I think I've suffered no ill effects. I was in the hospital for days, and at one point my body temperature climbed to 103.9 degrees Fahrenheit. They were considering putting me in an ice bath. Ah, well, that needless little thing is gone.
