It seems that there are a lot of negative feelings about U.S politics, so I'm curious whether there are any people (currently in office, or formerly in office but still active) in our government, that garner your respect?

If so, who are they and what do you believe are their positive contributions?

Cool. I'm not surprised that there aren't many ansers on this poll, but was hoping to learn about some obscure up and comers, so hopefully those will get added eventually.
