How can we improve the front page of Grupthink?

We think the front page of Grupthink could be a lot more useful to seasoned grupies and new visitors. We'd like to know how YOU would improve it! What features should be added? What would you like to see on the front page when you first come to grupthink, and after you log in?

Link to the grupie quilt

I really liked this idea of the quilt, and I'd like an easier way to get to it. Plus it adds an artistic spin to the grupie dynamic.
