We all know the few great ones, but let's face it, TV execs usually don't understand Science Fiction, much less support it. What TV SciFi shows stand out for being the lowest of the low.

Lost in Space

Danger, Will Robinson! I liked this show but it was so campy. But Angela Cartwright was hot.

Irwin Allen is getting shafted on this poll.

I hadn't realized the same guy made all those shows. 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' was good, though.

Not only did he make a lot of these shows, his effects department was famous for recycling props. A monster on Lost in Space might get repainted and repurposed as a sea beast at Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. The studio so loved him, he went on to direct disaster pictures in the 70s. The Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno were both Irwin Allen movies. None of these facts makes The Time Tunnel any more bearable.

I really enjoyed Lost in Space and Battlestar Galactica and I don't think either belongs on the list. I don't think any real scifi fan would vote for them. Now Time Tunnel, that's proper scifi crap. Same for Cleopatra 2525, T&A and a scifi setting does not a good scifi show make.

My guess is that non-scifi fans are voting on this for the points.

Heh, I just realized there's no Sid & Marty Kroft shows on the list. That's a shock. Maybe no one in that age group.

As much as I hate to admit it, I am.....barely. But I don't recall them doing a sci-fi show.

Well "Land of the Lost" is clearly sci-fi, and the first to come to mind.
Though "The Lost Saucer" and "Far Out Space Nuts" are more squarely in the sci-fi arena.
And all of them belong on this list.
