Tips for Grupthink Newbies

Being the new guy/gal can be tough. Almost as tough on you as it is on the established community. Veterans new and old, I ask you this: What tips would you give a grupthink newbie?

Ultimately, we'll be able to point them at this poll, in an effort to curtail any ugliness...
