Do you wait patiently every year for candy canes and gingerbread cookies? Tell me what your holiday favorites are as well as any sweets that have become tradition in your family.

[show more] I N G R E D I E N T S 1 cup butter, room temperature 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups sifted flour 1/2 cup chopped pecans I N S T R U C T I O N S Preheat oven to 400 degrees Cream butter; add sugar gradually. Blend in salt, vanilla, pecans, & flour. If too soft, chill until firm. Scoop small pieces of dough, roll in hand to make a small ball, & place on ungreased cookie sheets.
