Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. They didn't come about because they're usually NOT true. Fat people usually are lazy. I'm fat, AND I'm lazy. I've been really fit and thin in my life, but I'm far too lazy to stay that way. Some people can't control it without serious dedication, I'm sure, but there's a reason America is the most obese nation.
Just because that particular stereotype happened to be true for you, doesn't mean all stereotypes are true. A lot of stereotypes came about through racism and prejudice. Never assume something that's true for one person is true for the next.
