Cursive Worthwhile or Worthless? Add Answer

So I was helping my brother with cursive this weekend. And I had no clue how to write some cursive letters, like capital Q. So what do you think?

Much faster for me, easier to read (by both human and machine), but looks a little shabbier than those who are very adept with cursive. I didn't look at the wiki link, but that teach D'Nealian handwriting here before cursive.

It would be nice if I actually read what I wrote, I suppose.
They teach D'Nealian at our schools before cursive.

Last week my daughter, who's in 2nd grade, had to start doing their
spellilng words in cursive. I usually write out the word neatly in pen, with number 1-5 below it for her to copy in pencil. I had to keep re-doing the list this week because I found it hard to remember to add all those damn loops. Really, other than your L's, does anyone still put loops on their h's, p's d's? does anyone still write a cursive small b the way we were taught in school?

Hmm, maybe that can be the next topic "do you still write the way you were taught in school?"
