I get horrible migraines and I have heard random advice from random people about the best way to get rid of them. What about you grupthinkys? What's your advice?
According to Dr. House in "Distractions": It acts on seratonin receptors and will stop a migraine in it's tracks, then anti-depressants will short-circuit the trip.

try to catch it before it gets to any pain. for me it starts either with a headache, feeling sick or loosing my balance... i have to keep an eye on all three things and try to avoid having two together... i take a tablet when i get a hint of it and mostly i can avoid greater harm... once i have it only dark and... try to catch it before it gets to any pain. for me it starts either with a headache, feeling sick or loosing my balance... i have to keep an eye on all three things and try to avoid having two together... i take a tablet when i get a hint of it and mostly i can avoid greater harm... once i have it only dark and sleep will help me... i cant even lie down then. i have to sit beside the bed with my arms and head on the bed or i will puke. confused a late bedgoer now and then when neither I nor duvet was to be found even though I HAD to be in the room somewhere :)
Also, Lortabs if severe enough. Imitrex doesn't seem to help much during a migraine, but helpful if you can catch it before it takes off. Othere wise the toradol and lortab are winners for sure!
