What is your favourite interpretation of the Arthurian mythos?

I love all things relating to the Arthurian stories, and have quite a collection at home.

Alternatively known as the "Matter of Britain" the Arthurian cycle of stories (probably having its roots in both French and Welsh literature and myth) has inspired many writers and filmmakers, who over the years have put their own mark on these wonderful stories.

Which do you prefer?

The gritty realism of the recent "Arthur", or the more fey and magical interpretations such as the mini-series "Merlin"?
