Once a topic is marked "dupe," should all other answers be marked irrelevant?

Does anyone do this currently? If it's an indisputable dupe, do we have an obligation to bury all the other answers by marking them "irrelevant"?

People should vote this way if they wish to.

It's rude to force the responsibility of content policing on people. But giving them the opportunity to do if they want, that's just fine.
